The product, in the report: Single coffee Maker called My Cafe

We purchased a Bunn Single Coffee Maker Model MCU from Amazon. We have used the machine as directed in the user manual at all times.

Three times in the last two weeks while brewing a cup of coffee scalding hot water has erupted from the coffee ground drawer on the right side while on the Pulse cycle. The coffee ground drawer has always been inserted snugly and correctly and there was never over fill of the water resovior.

The water makes a loud noise and spews hot hot water all over. When you pull out the coffee grounds drawer after turning off the machine the drawer with the grounds is over flowing and today poured on my hand burning my hand with hot coffee grounds.

This machine is dangerous and un-predictible.

    Text of consumer’s e-mail message dated May 10, 2013:

Subject: sickening smell from Bunn Coffee Maker We purchased a Velocity Brew 10-Cup Thermal Carafe Brewer, Black on April 13th of this year. Both my daughter and I got headaches from the smell that emanated from the brewer and it only got worse with each passing day. That unit was returned to Amazon with the explanation that the smell was obnoxious. A new brewer was received as a replacement with the same problem. I called the Bunn customer service line and complained about the smell and was told that it was from the glue used in China and it would go away with frequent use in three or four weeks. We tried to run the brewer about twenty times and the next morning the smell was worse than ever. I have had a headache for two days, daughter cannot stand the smell in the house and my wife came down with a sore throat to the point she lost her voice. I have returned the second unit and this time I asked for a refund. I believe there is a problem with the glue being used and Bunn knows about but continues to keep the unit on the market.

The product, in the report: BUNN coffemeaker model GR10-B Date code 162002

During filling of coffee maker water came pouring out the bottom, steam and could smell something burning. Unit was unplugged and allowed to cool at which time I removed the top cover to see if it was something I could repair. After discovering what parts were needed I found online that there was (or is) an open recall on my coffee maker for the exact problem I am having pertaining to the pour in bowl melting. The release number is 05-189. I have tried to contact the company by phone and e-mail with no answer or response.

The product, in the report: Bunn Coffee maker, Model B10-w, Date code 121101

Bunn coffee maker, model B10w, date code, 121101. Machine began leaking badly where the top plastic bowl mates with the steel hot water storage tank. I remove the top cover and found the plastic washer the sets between the metal and plastic tank disentegrated and the hole in the plastic appeared melted/brittel. No repair attempts have been tried. I believe I can place a steel washer between the steel tank and plastic top with some RTV sealant as well as a larger washer on top to cover the enlarged hole may make it functional...however, I have some concerns regarding a repair as it should not have gotten hot enough to melt plastic.
