The product, in the report: Bunn Coffee maker model bx-b date code 191613cr

A BUNN coffee maker model bx-b date code 191613cr failed to stop heating the water in the reservoir. The water was boiling violently and smoke was flowing out from around the top cover and the switch for the pot heater on the top front of the maker. The smoke smelled like burning or over heated electrical wiring or components. The power switch at the back bottom side of the maker did kill the power to the unit. The unit was then disconnected from the outlet. There was no indication that this event was going to stop, and every indication that fire was imminent.
