The product, in the report: Bellemain 2.2 Liter Airpot Coffee Dispenser with Pump

3/2021: The consumer noticed an odor from the coffee pot several weeks ago. Recently, he and his wife checked the coffee maker and found that some of the plastic inside the coffee maker was melting. The subject part is a black plastic hub that a metal tube is mounted on. There is a plastic tube, which the water goes through, when it’s dispensed. This is the past that has started melting. The consumer touched that part of the tube with his finger and his finger turned black in color, as the substance rubbed off on it. He also noted that the substance was difficult to wash off of his finger.

He is concerned that he and his family have been exposed to this substance for some time.

The consumer has been heating his water, before drinking, for the past couple years.

The consumer said that a few months ago, his blood pressure was high, but he is unsure if it was caused by the pot. However, 100% of his water, has been consumed from this pot the past year (since Covid).

Made in Taiwan, is written on the product.
