The product, in the report: Gooseneck Kettle with pop welded handleAWK -210SB

The product of reference is Aroma Housewares. Model #AWK -210SB Gooseneck Kettle. The kettle sits on an electric hot plate configuration to heat the water placed within. The attachment of the handle is the concern. It is not mechanically attached. And I apologize but I believe is some kind of electronic weld, if you will. I’ve already sent a request previously (5 times ) to the manufacturer through their website, but I have had no response. THIS IS MY REPORT TO THE MANUFACTURER. I have your lovely gooseneck kettle for less than one year. When using it, full of hot water, the handle popped off (it was not attached by a screw to make sure there was what I would call a belt and suspenders in design) while I was transferring it full of “boiling” water to pour into my French press. You can tell how the unit was attached, the upper two nodules (of this perceived weld) barely had anything connected. This is a product defect. I am fortunate that I was not scolded with hot (boiling) water as most of it came out onto the floor. And I am fortunate that my dog was not injured either. When it fell it could’ve easily damaged the floor but it did not, it broke its own fall and dented the base and part of the plastic piece of the base cane apart as well. I am requesting a new kettle from you, the manufacturer. By the way in your description of the product to talk about safety. I would be concerned about using the word safety when the handles of these units can pop off.

First of all, I’m fortunate I was not hurt, and was hopeful that the manufacture would care enough to contact me concerning this matter. If I wasn’t quick enough to jump out of the way, this hot boiling water could possibly had burnt me significantly , broke small bones in my foot or severely hurt a pet or small child who frequently our at our feet, not to mention possible property damage. And here’s an opportunity to (I hope) make the Manufacturer pay attention to safety that they tout so much on their website. It’s honestly a simple manufacturing defect, it happens. But they should recognize the errors and Rectify any issues or concerns of consumers have
