The product, in the report: Toaster Oven

Caller stated that while using his oven toaster the toaster glass door exploded within 2 mins of operation. He had just placed the contents in the unit and stepped away when he heard the explosion, there were glass pieces shattered everywhere in the room. He feels that if a child had been close by the incident could have caused serious injuries.

(8/7) The manufacturer was contacted and he was informed that they acknowledge his issue and that he should contact one of their facility for instruction in operating the unit safely. (8/10) He spoke to a representative and was told to take it to a retailer repair facility for inspection.

Caller feels that this toaster is a safety hazard and should be reported.
