First aid Made Feb 21, 2026, sent to the company Feb 25, 2026, published by CPSC Mar 11, 2026
The product, in the report: Prestige Smart XL 10-in-1 Air Fry Digital Countertop Convection Toaster Oven with Air Fry, Air Roast, Broil, Bake, Whole Roast, Pizza, Toast, Bagel, & Reheat, 1800 Watts, Stainless Steel, 17.09”D x 20.22”W x 13.34”H, model without the thermometer
The first Ninja Prestige XL Air Fryer & Countertop Oven I purchased through Amazon began overheating severely and developed burn marks on the back of the device. I contacted Ninja support, and they sent a replacement. However, the replacement unit also began overheating, showed burn marks on the back, and had a loose internal fan blade. I provided Ninja with photos documenting the damage and safety concerns. Ninja then sent a third replacement unit, which is now experiencing the same issue. The back of the unit is showing burn marks again, and the excessive heat has caused damage to my countertop backsplash. This repeated defect across multiple units raises serious safety concerns, including the risk of fire and property damage.

No incident, no one hurt Made Nov 29, 2025, sent to the company Dec 3, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 17, 2025
The product, in the report: It is a countertop oven with multiple different modes, came with fiberglass inside and outside
I received the Ninja Prestige Smart XL countertop oven from Amazon as a gift from my mom. When we opened it , i noticed fiberglass like shards all over the outside and inside of the unit. Very scary, they did come off when wiping with wet paper towel and i saw long glass like pieces and super short ones too. I think that is definitely a hazard!! I saw a forum on [REDACTED] speaking of the same thing.

The product, in the report: Ninja Foodi 8 in 1 XL Pro Air Fry Oven DT200
I was using a Ninja Foodi 8 in 1 XL Pro Air Fry Oven DT200, air-frying 2 corn dogs at 400F for 13 minutes, and by the 12th minute of cooking, the glass on the door of the oven shattered violently. The glass flew at least 6 ft from the door, hitting me with shards as I was only about 3 ft from the oven at the time of the shattering.

No one hurt Made Jun 5, 2025, sent to the company Jun 10, 2025, published by CPSC Jun 25, 2025
The product, in the report: Ninja Foodi Smart XL Air Oven Model DT 201 Serial number: R14SQ601Z8J1
We purchased a Ninja Foodi XL Pro AirFryer Oven (model DT201) in September 2023. We have followed all usage and cleaning guidelines. Last week, the unit started making loud a loud rattling/grinding noise when in use. It also does not shut off when cooking is complete or when the power button is pressed. The only way to turn it off completely is to unplug the unit. We have tried it several times and in several different settings, but the issue is the same. At this point, we have left it off and unplugged because were concerned it may start a fire. I read several reports online of other consumers having a similar issue so I contacted Ninja customer service on 6/5/25. We are outside of the one year warranty so they will not repair or replace the unit. The rep said that if we had continued use and there was damage from use (such as a fire, etc.) then replacement falls under different guidelines. The suggested repair was to buy a new base, which is an entirely new unit without the included trays.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Jun 3, 2025, sent to the company Jun 5, 2025, published by CPSC Jun 20, 2025
The product, in the report: Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 Digital Air Fry, Large Toaster Oven, Flip-Away, SP080
I was recently seriously burned by the exterior of the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven SP080. While the appliance was in use, I accidentally touched the outside top of the oven and suffered a severe burn. The temperature of the exterior especially the top and sides becomes extremely hot during operation, seemingly as hot as the internal cooking chamber.
There are no visible warnings on the unit, nor are there adequate safety instructions in the manual about the danger of burns from the external surfaces. This creates a serious risk for users, especially in smaller kitchens where counter space is tight and the top of the unit may be used for storage when not in use.
I am reporting this to highlight the lack of proper safety labeling or engineering safeguards to protect users from this known hazard. I strongly believe this product is unsafe as currently designed and should be investigated for compliance with safety standards.
