No one hurt Made Sep 2, 2026, sent to the company Sep 4, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 21, 2026
The product, in the report: Gourmia Digital 4-Slice Toaster Oven Air Fryer, model GTF1150, date code 0126(13). Stainless steel/gray countertop digital air fryer toaster oven with a glass front door and digital control panel. The appliance is rated 120V, 60Hz, 1000W and has multiple cooking functions, including air fry, toast, bake, broil, and reheat. It is designed for household countertop cooking and can accommodate approximately four slices of toast. The unit was purchased new from Target on August 19, 2026. Target TCIN: 89110864
I purchased a Gourmia Digital 4-Slice Toaster Oven Air Fryer on August 19, 2026. From the first uses, the appliance produced a strong burnt-metal smell. I initially believed this was normal for a new appliance and that the odor would go away after it had been heated and used several times.
On September 1, 2026, I was using the appliance to cook food when I noticed the burnt-metal smell again. I then observed what appeared to be melted or extremely hot material/metal dripping from the interior heating area toward the bottom of the appliance. Shortly afterward, an open flame/fire developed inside the bottom of the oven.
I immediately stopped using the appliance. The appliance had been used multiple times previously and had not been modified or damaged. There were no injuries, but I am concerned about the fire hazard and the possibility of the fire spreading outside of the appliance.

The product, in the report: Double glass door, silver, Gourmia Air Fryer Oven.
I was using the Air Fryer Oven, frying at 400 degrees. In the mean time, I was cutting up other foods. When my arm went back, my right elbow knocked the fryer. Gave it a nasty burn.

No incident, no one hurt Made Aug 6, 2026, sent to the company Aug 11, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 25, 2026
The product, in the report: Gourmia French Door 6 Slice Digital Toaster Oven Air Fryer, 24L, stainless steel, 1700W, with digital controls and two front French doors. The appliance includes an air fry basket, oven rack, baking pan, and crumb tray
On August 6, 2026, I was using my Gourmia GTF2440 Digital Air Fryer Oven. I purchased it new from Walmart on July 20, 2026, only 17 days earlier. I was cooking one brat in the air fry basket with the baking and drip trays installed underneath to catch drippings. I briefly went downstairs to get a hair tie. When I returned, the appliance was actively on fire and flames were coming from the bottom of the unit. I was able to stop the fire before it spread to my countertop, cabinets, or home. The lower interior of the appliance was heavily burned and covered in soot. No one was injured, but I am extremely concerned that a nearly new appliance caught fire during normal use and could have caused a serious house fire. I have photographs of the damage and have preserved the appliance in its condition after the fire. I reported the incident to Gourmia and was given incident number [REDACTED].

The product, in the report: Gourmia French Door Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven GTF7698. Silver. measures 21.26” L 18.5” W 12.53” H and weighs approximately 23.8 pounds.
Gourmia air fryer model #GTF7698. Had for approximately 18 months. Glass door exploded while in use, sending shattered glass flying across my kitchen. Fortunately no one was injured but would have been if they had been standing closer. Contacted Gourmia who were completely unconcerned and refused to provide a replacement, even going so far as to state that this model has been out of production for “over two years” - despite that I purchased it 18 months ago brand new, and it is still listed on their official website.

No one hurt Made Jan 22, 2023, sent to the company Jan 26, 2023, published by CPSC Feb 9, 2023
The product, in the report: Toaster oven
While cooking dinner in our new Gourmia GTF7660 toaster oven I discovered what I consider an extreme safety hazzard. The slots that hold the trays are too wide and allow the tray to drop on the front end making the rack unlevel. The straight wire rack allowed a cooked baked potato to slide out and onto the floor and explode. This could happen with any hot dish.
