The product, in the report: GE Air Fry 7-in-1 Toaster Oven. It is stainless steel and has a front glass door. It is model number G90AASSP2SS My original case number for the replacement the first time was 15820129.
I have a GE Air Fry 7-in-1 Toaster Oven that after cooking does not shut off an stayed on and was getting very hot. I had originally purchased one in 2024. In Jan of 2025 I had the issue a few times of it not shutting off. I called GE and they replaced it with a new one. Then in March of 2026 the replacement unit started to do the same thing. I am concerned that if its happened to me with two different units this could be a bigger issue. Both toasters when being used were done cooking and the display went to sleep mode. But I could smell a hot smell smell a while later and they were both still on and very hot with the top elements still running. They were close to starting a fire and if anyone touched the top half of the machine they would have been burnt. The only way to stop it was to unplug it.

The product, in the report: G9OAAASSPSS GE Digital Air Fry 8-in-1 Toaster Oven https://www.geappliances.com/appliance/GE-Digital-Air-Fry-8-in-1-Toaster-Oven-G9OAAASSPSS Combination toaster oven with air fryer, stainless steel exterior, 14 H x 16.9 W x 17.70 D, 120v 1500 watt
I was toasting 2 pieces of bread. The toaster oven ended the toast cycle like normal and I removed the toast. Unbeknownst to me the upper element stayed on. A couple minutes later we could smell burning plastic. Once we determined it was the toaster oven (the top was hot enough to cause a burn when touched) we unplugged it. We left it unplugged for a few minutes. When we plugged it back in the upper element immediately turned on and we unplugged it again. I believe if the toaster oven was left plugged in it could potentially start a fire.

The product, in the report: GE Convection Toaster Oven Model 169127
This toaster oven was purchased from Walmart in 2011. I had never had any problems with it and used it a few times a week to heat pizza. Last week I smelled plastic or wires burning when the oven was on. I shut it off and opened the side panel to see what was burning. I couldn’t see anything so I reassembled it. The next few times I used it, I made sure I never left the room. The third time I used it after smelling the burning smell, it sparked and caught fire. I quickly unplugged it,. When it was cool I opened up the side panel again and could see that the tiny light bulb for the Power Indicator had burned up and melted. I called Walmart but they said they no longer sell these products and the warranty of two years had expired.

The product, in the report: GE Toaster Oven Model 169127
Yesterday I used the toaster oven to cook a breakfast sandwich. I turned it off and went to work in my home office. Thankfully I was home and smelled a burning smell when I entered the kitchen a few hours later. I went into the kitchen and saw that even though the the timer was complete in fully in the off position, the toaster oven was still ON and extremely hot. After I had removed my sandwich it had stayed on for several hours. If I had not been home I am terrified to think of what might have happened, I’d probably be homeless right now. It should shut off when the timer completes or if I turn it off. I have spent a good 30 minutes testing it now, and it only turns on (consistently) any time the unit is supposed to be off after the timer is complete. When I try to use it to cook by turning the timer knob on, it then turns off the unit instead. This is extremely dangerous, and frustrating. I have recorded a video and pictures as proof if necessary, and have not disposed of the unit in case it needs to be inspected.

The product, in the report: GE Rotisserie Convection Oven Model: 898691 53 (toaster oven)
I’ve had the toaster oven for almost nine months. I finished cooking some food, took out the tray, closed the oven door, turned around, and heard a loud bang. The glass door had shattered. Exploded glass all over the kitchen floor.
