The product, in the report: It says model #169127 and has the Wal-Mart phone number of 877-207-0923. Their system says that is an invalid model number, but it isn’t. I spoke with [REDACTED] and she gave me confirmation #[REDACTED], but I want to make certain that this is registered because I don’t trust comnpanies to self-monitor. If this is a fluke, fine, but if not, people can be made more safe. GE toaster oven
Today my husband used the toaster oven to make our daughter toast before school. Then, he turned it off and left. I happened to be home and just happened to notice that even though the power knob was shut off, and the timer was shut off, and the function knob was shut off, the toaster oven was still ON and very very HOT. We are so lucky because it had been on for hours and hours. It could have easily burned our house down if given a little more time. It is supposed to shut off when you turn it off, and then if you were to forget and leave it on, it should still turn off when the timer goes to zero. None of this, not even the back up, worked. I am very concerned that other families might not be so lucky.
