Item will beep and turn on when no one is within 20 feet of the item.
I tried cleaning the buttons to make sure they were clean, no help.
I unplugged the unit but even after 3-4 days unplugged, it continues to self start.
I called the assist number. They advised throwing the unit away.

First aid Made Aug 21, 2017, sent to the company Jan 17, 2018, published by CPSC Feb 1, 2018
The product, in the report: Toaster oven.
I was moving the toaster oven from the counter to the area near the stove. I attempted to swivel the toaster oven slightly to plug it in and a very sharp piece of sheet metal sliced into two of my fingers. One of the slices was sufficient to cause extensive bleeding. I think this is a failure by the company to properly dress the edges of the sheet metal during the manufacturing process and represents a significant hazard to fingers.

No one hurt Made Apr 11, 2016, sent to the company Apr 20, 2016, published by CPSC May 4, 2016
The product, in the report: Walmart farberware toaster oven with convection and rotisserie model number 103738 manufacture date 40th week 2013 purchased May 2014
Walmart Faberware toaster oven with convection and rotisserie model # 10373 manufacture date 40th week 2013 purchase date May 2014 Used the timer feature on oven to cook dinner. When timer sounded I removed the food and ate dinner. After dinner while doing dishes notice the oven was still on. The knob had moved past the off positional the on position. I moved the knob to the Timer position. While putting the dishes away noticed the oven was on. The knob had moved past the off position and back to on again. I unplug the oven and move the knob to the off position once again. Later I checked the oven and it seems that the timer does not stop at the off position but moves pass it to the continuously on position. No injury or fire at this time and have since stopped using it. I feel that this could be a potential fire hazard. For of the oven was to turn on unbeknownst to someone and stay on it could cause an accidental fire.
