The product, in the report: Black and Decker Convection Toaster Oven
I have a Black and Decker Convection Toaster Oven (purchased about 6 months ago and is used about 4 times a week) that caught fire. Fortunately, my wife heard the oven running when it was supposed to be off and allerted me just as it started to smoke. The mechanical timer design is faulty in that the “stay on” position is below and to the left of the “off” position. The “off” position failed and the timer kept running to the “stay on” position. I noticed that most of the toaster ovens have the same type of timer. I contacted Black and Decker but was snubbed by them. Please investigate this design.
