The product, in the report: bella PRO - 12-in-1 6-Slice Toaster Oven + 33-qt. Air Fryer with French Doors - Stainless Steel
My partner and I were burned several times by a Bella Pro Toaster Oven in our kitchen. While several of the burns were just quick, momentary touches, a couple caused blisters. The double doors to the toaster oven will not stay open and will not always stay shut while cooking. There are several reviews about this and injuries. I don’t know how this product is allowed to be sold in the U.S.

The product, in the report: Bella pro series 6 slice French door toaster oven with air fryer technology
I received the Bella Pro Series 6 slice French door toaster oven with air fry technology as a 2022 Christmas gift. After about 6 months I noticed the power cord was getting very hot. A couple months later the knobs on the front of the unit began getting hot. We always make sure the unit is unplugged when not in use to prevent it from burning up. I called Bella Housewares on 10/3/2023 to see if there was a recall. They said there wasn’t. I let them know that I was going to report the machine as a hazard.

The product, in the report: Bella Toaster Oven Toaster Oven model number LO100801, Item number 14804.
We carefully followed all instructions for proper operations of this oven, however, yesterday when my wife turned the oven off, unbeknown to her, the oven did not turn off. The bell/ringer sounded, loud and clear, which indicates the oven was off, therefore she departed the room. However, it was not off. It caught fire, flames jetting high into the air, smoke filling the house. The oven was destroyed and the house reek of smoke

The “main” reason I am contacting the CPSC is due to the control panel to the toaster oven falling out, however, prior to this issue, there were other signs of product failure. Paricularly, the toaster oven would autonomously change the time selected to a different time or it would go to the max temperature of 400 degrees without our input. Additionally, when we noticed this / these issues were happening (there would be an audible beep when the change occurred - that we didn’t select) we weren’t able to go back to the original selection. nor were we able to adjust the time or temperature manually. The time and temperature issues of changing that occurred we thought that we did something wrong or hit the wrong button, but then it kept happening again and again, but still thought we weren’t familiar with the unit and thought that it was intuitive or changed accordingly to product or internal temperature. The most recent incident “control panel falling out / off”, was something I know we didn’t initiate and i know we didn’t select the wrong selection. This was a situation on the build quality and mounting quality of the main control board. We do anything to promote the issue from happening; i.e. Move it, clean it, bump it, drop it, slide it. The only we thing we did is, open the door to the oven as the oven door is designed to open and then the control panel fell out hanging in front of the 380 degree oven itself Fortunately, an adult was using the oven and knew to immediately unplug the oven and then remove what was being cooked, Not sure my 13 year old daugheter would’ve known what to do or if she would’ve touched something that could’ve potentially caused her harm i.e burns or electrical shock. To give a little info on the oven and when it was received, my parents gave it to me for a gift for my birthday on 8/6/2020 (roughly a couple days before or after}. Product was brand new, never used...prior to our use. Product was placed on the counter and never moved since inception. Overall, the Initial use of the product was great, and we were happy with it, until the snowball of issues started happening. This is the first time I’ve had to contact an organization about a product that I feel is safety concern. I have pictures and the product available for review and testing if needed. Please advise on the next step.

I put a piece a tortilla in a 4 slice toaster oven and within seconds it bursted into flames, and did not go out.The flames extended outside the oven door and I unplugged the unit from the wall and extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher. The oven is totaled and has to be replaced.
