The product, in the report: This is the first edition of the Nutr machine, which looks like a carafe. The lid on the version I have is opaque (plastic), and they have since come out with a new version of the same design that has a clear lid.
My mother purchased a Nutr machine (https://thenutr.com/) for me as a gift. I followed the instructions to make nut milk (using the scoop they provided and their instructions about how to fill the machine; this is what the device is for), and the device ejected frothing hot/boiling water mixed with ground nuts all over my counter. Thankfully, it didn’t hit me or any of my appliance cords for items like my microwave, so I wasn’t burned. This happened once several months ago, and customer service wouldn’t help me without a receipt. I was convinced I was using this incorrectly, so I tried it again this morning and the same thing happened. I believe this product is unsafe because it doesn’t have a vent for the steam when the nut milk gets heated. I know that similar things can happen with blenders, but everyone knows that you take off the small lid cap when blending hot liquids and shield it with a towel to prevent something like this from happening. There is no such venting capability on the Nutr device.
