The product, in the report: handheld blender with multiple attachments (Chopper Attachment Blade Assembly)
The chopper attachment (cylindrical device) has a blade assembly that rotates. That device rides on a shaft and spins around on an axle. However, this part, allows food to get up inside the shaft cavity & blade assembly. Food debris that gets stuck in there, does not wash out of the product, when using the manufacturer’s instructions.
Therefore, a significant amount of food (approximately 1 teaspoon) is trapped up inside that part of the product and will contaminate new food when the product is used again. The rotted food can’t even be removed with small tools like toothpick or a cotton swab.
12/27/2021: The consumer called the firm and their rep. responded to the consumer by email, the same day. They requested photos and the consumer submitted pictures to the firm (enclosed). He did not hear back from them and did follow up with them. They did not appear interested.
The consumer caught the problem immediately and saw the black fungus (mold-like) inside the product and has not used that part again. There were no injuries.
