No incident, no one hurt Made Apr 19, 2021, sent to the company May 3, 2021, published by CPSC May 17, 2021
The product, in the report: Instant Pot Instant cooking blender, 56 ounce cooking blender. Model Instant Cooking blender model ACE Nova
I bought “Instant cooking blender” made by Instant POT company in December 2019. After few months liquids started leaking at bottom from blade. This blender has heating element built at bottom of jar and has electrical wiring with open connections below it. because of liquid wiring started to short and fuse kept on blowing. I feel that this design where liquid drops on live wiring there is risk of electric shocks or fire. I called company in November 2020 and they replaced blender. New blender as well started malfunctioning exactly same way in less than 4 months. Company now refused to remedy situation. I am more concerned that this product is risky and should be recalled as two blenders had identical risk. This happened while using their standard program so it was not that I run it too long or anything out of ordinary. There were no injury at least so far as we spotted problem and stopped using blender.
