The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Hamilton Beach blender, Model 51101RV UPC 4009491033

    #1 November 26, 2020 Hello Hamilton Beach,

I had a dishwasher once but, she moved away and got married. I doubt that even she could find a way to keep your product clean. I purchased this blender, 51101RV, at my local Meijer store earlier this year. It has stood me well for the majority of the time I have had it. However, I am unable to find a way to separate the blade from the container unit and I refuse to use it while I can see mold inside the jar. Any ideas? No? I understand because this seems to be a flaw in the design. Will you please return to me the purchase price of the unit, including postage. I will be on my merry way to finding a different product. With the greatest respect, #2 [REDACTED] Good morning [REDACTED],

I begin by saying that I am shocked that [REDACTED] sent back the product I no longer wanted. When I read his letter, I had a hard time understanding his motives; surely he did not get this directive from you. I sent him this very same blender unit asking for the piddly refund of $15 + change that I paid for It. I already sent the receipt when I sent the box. I never said that the unit was defective. I did say that there seems to be a flaw in the design; it does not come clean nor does it disassemble for cleaning. Does this person think that I have not tried, every way I could think of, to clean this unit? Dare I say he did not try to clean it himself? using the method he has described? Sir, your own self-worth gained from this company is upwards of $3 million dollars. I cannot begin to think you are willing to risk $15.00 on your reputation or your company image. Would you be so kind as to take responsibility for this? I am not asking for a million dollars. The cost of the product (plus 2x the postage) would satisfy me greatly and forever.

The product, in the report: Hamilton Beach Immersion Blender

My Hamilton Beach Immersion Blender began breaking up and eventually became unusable. Shards of brittle plastic fell off of it, and some likely went into my food. This happened from about August through November of 2018, when I replaced it with another brand that seems better designed and safer (Kitchen Aid).

The product, in the report: Hamilton beach wave 12 speed blender

I have a Hamilton Beach wave action 12 speed blender. I put frozen berries, yogurt, banana, milk in to make a shake. When I turned it on the blade shot the contents through the plastic abt 1 x 1 1/2. The plastic and shake shot through the container. It ruined my [REDACTED] toaster as well because the shake went into all of the openings of the toaster.
