No one hurt Made Jan 24, 2020, sent to the company Mar 18, 2020, published by CPSC Mar 17, 2020
The product, in the report: Farberware Model 16249 Silver, Stainless Steel Personal Blender 7.25 x 9.00 x 11.00 Inches
The lid with the blades cannot be securely tightened to the cup. When you try and tighten, it just overlaps back to loose again. I tried to get it just perfectly tight and put the lid/blade on the bottom motor base. It locks in by pushing down and twisting clockwise and unlocks by twisting counter clockwise. With the lid being so loose, the cup ends up twisting off the lid/blade and the contents of the upside-down cup spill everywhere, not to mention you now have exposed blades lodged to a motor base that’s plugged in to an outlet. This product is so cheaply made to the point of being dangerous.

No one hurt Made Jul 10, 2017, sent to the company Jul 26, 2017, published by CPSC Aug 9, 2017
The product, in the report: FARBERWARE blender.
Some time in late 2015 to early 2016, I had purchased FARBERWARE blender (Model number 103742) sold by Walmart. The ball bearings in that blender’s blade started coming out of the blade assembly and mixing with the food being processed in the blender. I returned that blender to Walmart some time in late December 2016 and got the same model in exchange (plug pin number 1639). Now even this model has the same issue with the ball bearings of the blade assembly coming out an mixing with the food. This is a big health hazard. I request the United States government to immediately ban this product and issue a recall on it.

Hurt, no treatment Made Jul 28, 2015, sent to the company Sep 9, 2015, published by CPSC Sep 23, 2015
The product, in the report: blender with a glass jar and a plastic drinking cup
(07/27/2015) The consumer was blending leaves in the blender. She turned the blender off to taste the mixture. She took a taste with a spoon but got distracted and left the spoon in the blender. The consumer turned the blender back on and immediately the glass blender shattered.
The consumer went down to get someone to take pictures of the blender and noticed that the spoon was mixed with the mixture and the broken glass.
The consumer thinks that the metal blades came in contact with the spoon.
The consumer stated that there was a tiny sliver of glass in her neck. No medical attention was required.
The consumer stated that there is no safety feature shut off on the unit.
Also, the recipe section on page 22 and page 2 of the brochure given conflicting information about adding ice.
