The product, in the report: Blender
In April of this year I purchased a new blender through Amazon.com. The actual seller is STL Pro, Inc. The blender cost $124.99+shipping. Yesterday, 8/18/14, as I was using it to blend some almond milk, oats and blueberries, it began to burn. I pulled the plug, but I have severely damaged lungs from my military service and was driven out of the house by the smoke. I went to Amazon.com and looked at the user comments for this particular blender. There are 85 comments of which 3 mention that the unit started to burn when they used it. I contacted Amazon who referred me to STL Pro. STL Pro wrote that because the 30 day return policy had expired I had no recourse. I assume they will continue to sell this product which is clearly defective and dangerous.
