The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: KitchenAid 2 Drawer dishwasher, Model KUDH03DTSS10, Stainless Steel finish.

I own a KitchenAid Signature series dishwashwer, Model kudhc03dtss10, with internal steam vent covers. These covers are a plastic material that has a history of degrading and failing. When they fail, a seal between the washer tub and the vent tube fails resulting in water leaving the washer tub. This water passes through electrical components and on to the floor, resulting in damage.

This plastic component has failed repeatidly over the past year. To date I have replaced the part 6 or 7 times. The washwer is only two years old. While the manufacturer serviced the unit while under warrenty, nothing was done to address this material system failure.

No matter how many times I replace this part, it will fail and I run the risk of electrocution each time a failure occurs.
