Made Apr 28, 2025, sent to the company May 2, 2025, published by CPSC May 16, 2025

The product, in the report: Bosch Dishwasher

I came home to a burning plastic smell in the kitchen. I traced the smell to the kitchen cabinet below the kitchen sink. Specifically at the Bosch manufactured electrical junction box for my Bosch dishwasher. The junction box was so hot that it could not be touched. I immediately switched off the corresponding circuit breaker then opened up the junction box. I was amazed that the terminal where the wires are connected were charred and melted along with the insulation around the wires.
