The product, in the report: 6 quart Stir Crazy Popcorn Popper manufactured by Westbend.
I, [REDACTED] have bought a WestBend 6qt. Stir Crazy popcorn maker and have had nothing, but problems with the unit. The first unit I purchased was squealing as the rod rotated. After a few complaints WestBend sent me a new rod & after another complaint they sent me a new unit. The new unit they sent me seems to have been poorly inspected by their quality control department. The heating plate on which the popcorn pops is bent; therefore, you can see the heating element. The unit gets extremely hot in which it is actually creating burn marks on the heating plate as well as melting the plastic cover. I have offered to send this unit back to WestBend so their quality control department can inspect this unit, but they want me to pay to send it in. I do not feel I should be responsible to make any payments on a manufactured safety issue. I asked them to send me a pre-paid shipping label & they have refused to do so.
