Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Daisy No 25 BB gun. Rogers AK USA, B-B Cal (4.5mm) steel airgun shot, made in China. The box has a part number of 300978-00 rev 9/19. The gun itself only has the model/serial and some safety information written on it as far as I can see. The box has the PN, but again no manufacture date or serial number that I can see.
Daisy model 25 BB gun. This bb gun will fire with the safety on.
I recently purchased one of these products through amazon, and it largely worked fine for the first few hundred BB’s I shot through it. Then I started inconsistently failing to fire when the trigger is pulled, and it gradually got worse. Now, when it does this, the trigger can be depressed all the way to the stop, and it appears to then be released and any number of actions will cause it to randomly fire, releasing the trigger, releasing the trigger and pulling it again, releasing the trigger and pushing the safety, releasing the trigger pushing the safety on and then depressing the trigger again. I stopped messing with it when I successfully managed this last series of operations.
