The product, in the report: Hunting, tree climbing stick.
To Whom it may concern, Yesterday, October 15th, 2018 I purchased a 20’ climbing stick, Item Number BDSL-20 from Big Dog Hunting, LLC. Around 1:00 October 15th 2018 I assembled the product per the included instructions and secured it to the tree also according to the instructions included. Later that day at 3:28 PM, I climbed to the top of the climbing stand and as I reached the top step with my hand, the cam buckle broke completely in half. I should note that I only weigh 178lbs, much less than the rated weight capacity of 300lbs. The cam buckle breaking caused me to violently fall and swing into the tree with significant force. Thankfully my fall arrest system saved me from falling 20’ to the ground. As of today, I am very sore from the fall, I have pain in my left hand, neck, and lower back which was directly caused by the device’s failure.
