The product, in the report: interior casement window; dimensions: 2 ft. by 4 ft.

The consumer indicated that the home already had windows from Marvin Windows and Doors when she moved in the house. The consumer contacted Marvin Windows and Doors to replace windows in the home and the window being reported was installed approximately 2 years ago. The consumer states the window was replaced under warranty.

(5/23/16) The consumer and her daughter were upstairs in the television room when she heard a loud noise. The consumer noticed shards of glass were on the floor and about 3 feet from the window.

The consumer then contacted the firm (866-767-4355) to inform them of the incident and the consumer spoke with [REDACTED] (case # [REDACTED]). The consumer stated that the Rep. advised her the incident could have been due to a pressure issue with the window or a defect with the glass but they could not confirm whether it was their fault. The consumer was offered a replacement window and advised that she would be responsible for installation. The consumer requested to speak with a Supervisor and was informed that [REDACTED], his supervisor would call the consumer back.

The consumer believes the firm should cover installation as well. The consumer also believes the incident occurred due to a pressure issue with the window.
