The product, in the report: Dual Pane low E Glass windows - Various dimensions
Every window in my house is made by a company called Hurd Windows.
They are dual paned windows with Low E Glass and my understanding is that they have some type of gas in between the two layers of glass to help with insulation.
On at least six occasions I have had the interior pane of glass - what I can only refer to as spontaneously combust. This usually occurs during the winter months when the weather is cold and the heat is on inside the house.
These windows are not cheap to repair or replace and pose a danger to anyone who is in the room when the combustion occurs.
On at least one occasion my children had just left the room when one of the windows exploded.
They were not injured but I cannot believe that I am the only consumer that this has happened to. I feel confident that someone has or will be hurt by this flying glass.
On a prior occasion I contacted Hurd Windows by email, never to be contacted in return.
If this is still occurring with their products they should be pulled from the mrket.
Do I have any recourse?
