The product, in the report: Harvey Acoustical Window. This type of window was developed out of a lawsuit by residents against Logan Airport to lessen sound in homes. I was not part of the lawsuit but, during a renovation, had Harvey Acoustical Windows installed throughout my house.
Lifted up a window in my living room and, without warning it came crashing down. I barely got my hand out from under in time. The window is heavier than most because it is a Harvey Acoustical window. If this happens to a child or someone with slower reflexes it will result in a serious injury or worse if a persons he’d is under the window.

The product, in the report: Sound proof windows manufactured by Harvey Windows, installed through the Midway Airport Residential Sound Insulation Program. Since I did not personally purchase these windows I do not have all the information about them. The warranty sticker states: 08/15 Sales Order: [REDACTED] Production Order: 100105257 AVDH #21 P-2 U:10
My windows emit a noxious odor when the sun shines on them. They also have warped to the point where one has already been replaced in the fall and yet they will already no longer meet to lock. This is a safety issue as I cannot lock my windows to prevent an intruder from entering through a window. I have had several sinus infections and headaches from the odor. My cats have also had some ongoing respiratory issues. I am very concerned that over time these windows are emitting toxic gases into my home.
