  1. No one hurt

Made Feb 28, 2020, sent to the company Mar 17, 2020, published by CPSC Mar 31, 2020

The product, in the report: Four Seasons Series 230 Sun & Stars Curve Room approximately 21 ft x 10ft.

1 paid for a $78,500 all glass sunroom with 21 ceiling double pane windows. Manufacturer: Four Seasons of 5005 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Holbrook, NJ 11741. Vendor/installer: D&E Designs LLC of 12 Penns Trait, Newtown, PA 1894 and 1200 Rt. 22 East, Suite 2000, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Construction began June 10, 2019. It was completed approximately on August 8, 2019. Three months later, on Sunday October 13, 2019, approximately 12pm noon, one of the ceiling windows’ inner pane was broken and came down in pieces on a sunny autumn day for no reason with no one in the room. We heard the glass broken sound from the adjoining family room. What a tragedy if it felt on our heads! On January 21, 2020, in the process of replacement, the worker broke the second ceiling window next to it and it fell on the floor in pieces. Four Seasons claimed that the glass can break for all sorts of reason including expansion and contracting. Can you imagine the glass ceiling window broken and come down from the airport ceiling or from a hotel foyer? That would not happen. I submit to you that the Four Seasons glass window is faulty and a safety hazard. There are 21 double pane ceiling windows, 19 double pane vertical side windows and 2 double pane glass sliding doors in my sunroom. I submit that these glass window panes are all potential safety hazard because the manufacturer admitted in writing that the glass can break for all sorts of reason including expansion and contracting.
