The product, in the report: Product is Manufactured by Fleetwood USA. It is a single light, aluminum framed, outswing door. Fleetwood reference is series 3900-T H (outswing).
Defective item is a hinged, single door with aluminum frame manufactured by Fleetwood Windows and Doors - FleetwoodUsa. Fleetwood’s has manufactured what it considers a “minimalist” type door with relatively narrow stiles (uprights). The door handle and locking mechanism are attached to one of the stiles. Because of the narrowness of the stiles the door handle is very close to the door jamb. Approximately 1/2” space between the door handle and the door jamb. Under regular use fingers get caught and crushed between the door jamb and stile. This has occurred numerous times, once to where one of my fingers was lacerated.
