The product, in the report: ADT home security wall mounted key pad battery back up
ADT wall keypad. Battery backup low.. I called to have a replacement sent. I was told this specific battery can not be drop shipped!! I would need to go to [REDACTED]. I explained that I was told that ADT would replace a battery if I call. She stated this one can not be sent out by ADT. I ask why ? Her reply was we can not send this battery!!! I then said this is a lithium ion battery!! She said she could not help , then ask if I had any other issues!! I told her yes.. why can you not fill my request? She said again do I have any other issues. Then told me to have a good day and hung up !! The battery made in China . The back has started burning the plastic cover. I was told when this key pad was installed that I had to change to this new pad or ADT would not be able to provide security service to my home. This is a cel phone connection not a land line. The exchange was at no fee to me !!! I knew the old one had a small replaceable battery that I have had to change.. I was not told anything about the new battery system
