The product, in the report: Fast 2K Post Anchor is a patented expanding composite foam used to set wood, metal, and vinyl posts. A single 2.5-lb bag replaces up to 80 lbs of heavy concrete. It mixes in 30 seconds, sets in 5 minutes, and allows you to build on the post in 15-30 minutes. Key Benefits: No Water Required: Pre-measured, two-part mixture activates right in the bag. Weather Resistant: Hydrophobic (repels water) to help prevent wood rot and metal corrosion. ICC-Approved: ICC-ES third-party certified for both load-bearing (decks) and non-load-bearing (fences, mailboxes) applications. How to Use: Prepare the bag: Roll or pull the bag to break the internal clip separating the two components. Mix: Shake or rub the bag vigorously using a shoe-shine motion for 15-30 seconds. Pour: Immediately tear a corner, pour the liquid mixture into the hole around your plumb post, and hold the post in place for 35 minutes while it expands.
I used the Fast 2K Post Anchor product, an H.B. Fuller company. I followed the step by step instructions to use the product. When I cut the product open as instructed, foam exploded all over my face, clothes, shoes, house, shed, fence, etc.
(07/13/2026): This matter has been completely and amicably resolved to my satisfaction. I no longer have an active dispute or issue regarding this product or manufacturer, and I request that this correction be appended to the official record.
