The product, in the report: Outside deck railing
Railing was installed on my deck by a licensed contractor and installation was properly done. After 3 years the bottom rail on one of the sections warped down and the aluminum balusters became less secure to the point they actually could fall out with little pressure. We have 11 grandkids who naturally look out the deck railing and pull on them. One of the balusters did pull out. When I checked later in the day I found that with little effort four adjacent balusters were easily be pushed out. This could easily have caused a tragic fall off our deck. I’m an engineer by training and this is a fundamental design flaw. The southern yellow pine that the railings are made of very often warp with time and that warping can easily increase the separation between the top and bottom rails to the point the balusters in the center can fall out.
