The product, in the report: Regalo Home Safety White Cabinet Locks, 2 pack
We were using the Regalo Home Safety Easy Slide Cabinet Locks to keep two cabinet doors closed. Our toddler pulled on the door and the lock easily came apart. It turns out that the two lock pieces must be slid together in a certain direction in order for the ‘teeth’ to catch and prevent the lock from coming right off. The website, instructions, and product do not indicate that there is a right and wrong direction for installation.
UPDATD ON 11/27/2024: [The particular product I have looks to be slightly different (updated perhaps) from the photos I see on the manufacturer and store websites. The only indication that there is a correct way to align the pieces is a small arrow embossed in the plastic. Unfortunately I do not have the packaging any longer, so I can’t add any information from that. ]
