The product, in the report: LockState LS-6600 spring latch
I installed 14 LockState LS-6600 electronic locks in one of our group homes and over the past year or so I have had 4 of the spring latches fail. When the spring latch fails the door can’t be opened from inside or outside by unlocking it manually or using the electronic code. Even after removing the lockset from the door the spring latch cannot be retracted manually and must be destroyed and picked out in pieces. That is provided you can get into the room via a window and remove the lockset to gain access to the spring latch.
