The product, in the report: A multi-faceted clear plastic knob on a silver colored pedestal with four rings. It’s 1.25 inches across and including the base is almost 1.5 inches tall. I do not know the brand name. There’s no labeling. There is a number 4 on the flat side of the silver base that meets the cabinet.
I have crystal-like cabinet knobs on all of my above counter cabinets. They have round silver bases and multi-faceted tops and have been on the new cabinets for about two years. For the second time in two months, a knob has separated, with the top coming off and sharp jagged edges appearing underneath. The last time it was a scratch and I didn’t think a lot about it. I had a replacement knob and put it on. On Saturday, another knob came off, this time it ripped two of my fingers open, leaving deep bloody gashes each more than an inch long. In a child or toddler’s hand this would be a disaster. Fortunately, we had butterfly strips on hand and I was able to seal the gashes. The bleeding continued for a while but fortunately we were able to stop it by applying additional butterfly strips.
