Emergency room Made Mar 9, 2016, sent to the company Mar 16, 2016, published by CPSC Apr 6, 2016
The product, in the report: Glass Bubble Knob purchased from Cost Plus World Market. Blue in color, brass colored hardware. It is the knob involved in this recall: http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2014/Bubble-Knobs-Recalled-by-Cost-Plus/
Glass Bubble Knobs from Cost Plus World Market were installed on our kitchen cabinets prior to May 2014.
Yesterday, March 8th, 2016 I reached to open a kitchen cabinet. One of the aformentioned knobs broke. leaving a shard of glass attached to the brass-colored hardware. This sliced open my right middle finger. I had to visit the Emergency Room of Liberty Hospital, where I received 3 stitches in my hand. I am a visual artist and am unable to work for an estimated 7-10 days until the stitches can be removed in my dominant hand.
