The product, in the report: Indoor door handle and latch

The product is a door handle and latch for an interior non-locking door. The metal piece that moves in and out to latch the door closed gets stuck and separates from the interior mechanism, effectively locking the door closed. This happened twice with two different doors with the same product handle. The first time we had to break the door open, damaging the interior trim. The second time a child was locked on the other side of the door and we were able to break the metal piece out of the latch.
