The product, in the report: 3M Command Picture Hangers, pk. of 4

I purchased 3M command picture hangers from Costco for $12. 99. This hangers or 3.65”x0. 75” wide. Pit is stated on the package that 4 hangers will support 16LBS of load. Using 4 hangers for each picture I hanged 4 pictures. Each picture did not weight more than 8 lbs. After few days all four pictures fell. Some damaged the floor and walls. All picture frames and glass were broken. One hand picture hot the object and then fell on the floor. The object torn the picture (about 3” slit). This picture is about 20”x30” and hand painted by my daughter. I contacted 3M help center ([REDACTED]) and all they offered me $19.99. I had return the remaining product and they were going to test that in the lab. I asked them to send me the test results. They said it is a proprietary information. I said if you can prove it, that four hangers can support 16 lbs of load then I will drop my case. On the package 3M has a limited Warranty/ Limitation of Liability statement, “Product is free from manufacturing defect. If defective, 3M will replace or refund at 3M’s opinion. 3M is not liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential”. How company can get away with the defective product with this type of statement. Picture could have fell on someone’s head.
