The product, in the report: Geo-Decking [Deck]

[REDACTED] Secretary of State 30 Trinity Street, Hartford,Connecticut 06106

Dear [REDACTED] Re: Defective/unsafe Geo Decking material

l am writing you today because of our inability to find a “resolution” to our problem. My wife has Multiply Sclerosis,MS, .. and has been unable to use, this_deck because of its “unsafe” condition. Gee-Decking, manufactured by Kadant Composites, Incorporated filed bankruptcy after finding its material defective because of mass production demands. Before filing bankruptcy, Kadant Composites, Incorporated had a four year time period for customers to file complaints. Unfortunately, our decking, costing $15,000, started showing signs of deterioration after the four-year period. Therefore, we were unable to claim retribution. The material has started to decompose, warp, and has become very dangerous to walk on safely. The decking material was purchased at City Building Supply in New Britain, CT. Our builder,[REDACTED], of has been unable to help us in this matter. Our telephone calls to him are ignored and our deck becomes a liability to us. Our attorney, [REDACTED], was not able to get a response from City Building Supply after many letters.

I could not find a supply company that carries this product locally, however, my wife,[REDACTED], researched Gee-Decking and spoke to [REDACTED] of Green Bay Decking, LLC, 1518 South Broadway, Green Bay Wisconsin, 1- (877) 804-0137. [REDACTED] suggested that I write to you and, hopefully, you will forward this letter to the Department of Consumer Protection in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I will enclose a copy of the warranty, and the contractor who installed our decking. For further information, please email . us at, [REDACTED]. Our mailing address: [REDACTED], Telephone number, [REDACTED]

Best Regards [REDACTED] [REDACTED] cc: Department of Consumer Protection, CT- complaint Department
