    Gentlemen:

On January 6, 2015 we placed an order for St. James African Mahogany flooring which was installed by Grant Installations. Since that time we have been having breathing problems, skin rashes and watering eyes.

We had a formaldehyde screen check in four rooms from ED Lab and the results were between two and three times the acceptable limit. We fear the internal repercussions since this is a known carcinogen.

We request that you replace this defective flooring as soon as possible.

The numbers I have do not correspond with your questions. These are the numbers:

    P.O. 4500113258 CARB No. SCS-09-0015 California 93120 Phase 2

We left home for eleven days in August and we experienced some improvement. As soon as we returned the symptoms resumed.

The product, in the report: Laminate flooring

We have laminate floor made in China and sold by liquid lumberedators. It is st James African Mahogany as featured in a cbsmiami news story that aired at 6 pm on 4/29/15. My husband has had a cough for the last couple of years only when in the house. Our doctor attributed it to allergys but it does not happen while out of the house. Our whole house is done w this flooring and now we are very concerned.

The product, in the report: St. James Collection Dream Home Brazillian Koa 12mm, Laminate flooring purchased from Lumber Liquidators

My husband and I purchased laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators back in June 2014 and continued to buy pieces needed of the flooring through July or so 2014. I installed the flooring myself, cutting the floor boards with power saws, therefore breathing in the dust. The flooring was completely installed in or around August 2014. I am concerned with the recent reports of the flooring containing fermaldehyde. I sent a sample of our flooring to an independent lab to get tested and it came back with VERY high levels of fermaldehyde. The lab results show .40 and the lab consultant recommended the levels be no higher than .0018. I need help with finding out how to remove the flooring from our family home to insure not to put my children, husband and I at further risk. I’d like to get reimbursement from the company, however we are not sure if that will happen. We need guidance as how to proceed to keep us safe. Another piece of information is that over the winter months, I became ill with what seemed to be cold-like symptoms. I went to my family doctor as well as to an allergist to determine what was going on since I was not getting better after several weeks. It was ruled out that I did not have strep or allergies. A sinus scan was completed and it was still unknown what was going on. I was given antibiotics for an extended period of time and I seemed to get better, however I am concerned about the cause of my illness and if I will get additional symptoms as a result of the flooring. Please advise.
