The product, in the report: Eco Forest Urban Gray Hand Scraped Solid Stranded Bamboo
We had a fridge leak in our home and we needed to replace our flooring. We had bamboo before so we decided to look around and find a bamboo flooring that is eco friendly and will not harm our family. The week we put the flooring into our home our daughter got sick. The installers could only come on the weekends and the 2nd weekend is when our daughter got so sick that I had to take her to the ER and she was admitted into the hospital. Since then she had to go to the ER again 3 weeks later and then she was admitted into the hospital 3 weeks after the ER visit. The doctors 11, of which we have seen, can’t figure out what is going on. They have done CT scans and scoped both ends of her and were positive they would find a tumor or leukemia but nothing. Finally the doctor told us on Wednesday that she thinks it is an exposure to something. Well the Friday before my husbands doctor called and told him that his blood work came back abnormal and most of the things they explained were things that were happening to our daughters blood work. We now have appointments for everyone else in the house to get their blood work tested. The bamboo floors are the only things that changed in our house at the time of my daughters unexplained illness. I have had 8 weeks to research and I found benzene poisoning and it explains the exact things that are happening to my daughter. We think our floors are poisoning our family. The floor is made in china and it is called Eco Forest floor and we bought it from Floor & Decor because they promised that the floor is inspected in fact each box is inspected before it even gets to the ports is what they reassured us. We had read a out bamboo making people sick but it was all respiratory and that was with another company so we chose Floor & Decor instead. Never in a million years did I think that I would bring something into my house that would injure my children and potentially kill them. We are in the process of figuring out a way to have our floor chemically tested.
