The product, in the report: Water proof Laminate flooring planks
Approximant 2.5 years ago Mac Flooring in Aliso Viejo installed US Floors / Shaw Flooring Coretec Plus laminate water proof flooring in our home. Our home is built on a cement slab above ground level. The flooring was sold and advertised as a water proof flooring. We recently decided to do some upgrades and had to lift up some of this floating floor material. Underneath the flooring on the cork backing it is full of black fungi mold or mildew. We have not had this tested yet. I contacted the dealer Mac Flooring and the manufacture US FLOORS. US FLOORS tells me this is impossible as the cork will not mold or mildew. The dealer tells me to have my flor leak detection. I see no slab leak and now we are faced with possibly having our floors completely removed and possible health hazard in our home. Myself and my granddaughter both have repirority issues and can not be exposed to anything like this.
