The product, in the report: Laminate Flooring

This caller purchased Laminate wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators in Columbia, South Carolina on October 10th, 2014.

This flooring was installed in the entire downstairs between the purchase date and November 28th, 2016 with both he and his wife working with the flooring and at that time they both had adverse health related reactions including headache, itchiness, eyes itching and watering but at that time they were not aware that the flooring could have caused this reaction. These symptoms slowly subsided over a few months after physician care.

Around the beginning of June 2016 he opened approximately seven unopened packs of the same wood and put it down in his hallway upstairs. Within a couple of weeks of the hallway being laid his wife began suffering with skin irritation, headaches, watery, itchy eyes.

She describes her symptoms to leave her feeling as if she had rolled around in fiberglass.

She is a home maker which leaves her in the home most of the days and evenings.

She did visit her physician who left the symptoms as undiagnosed and prescribed 250 mg Terbinafine HCL to be taken once per day.

The caller said that he had the same symptoms the beginning of June 2015 but had not associated it with the flooring.

He is a truck driver so is gone from the home a good amount of the time.

The caller’s have contacted the manufacturer June 22nd, 2016 which is when they were able to associate their symptoms with a reason they occurred when they were advised that their laminate flooring had been discontinued and after research of their own with discover of why it was discontinued.
