The product, in the report: Insul-Sheet insulation made by K-Flex USA. I purchased a single 36”x4’x1/2” sheet of this insulation.

I recently purchased a sheet of insulation made by K-Flex USA. It was a 36”x4’x1/2” sheet of their Insul-Sheet insulation and it is supposed to be safe for indoor use in general and it’s supposed to be safe for schools as well. The product is [REDACTED] constantly emitting a burnt rubber smell. The longer the product is exposed to the air, the more [REDACTED] it’s off-gassing. I only had it installed in a room for 36 hours before I had to remove it since it was causing nausea and airing out the room wasn’t getting rid of the odor. The room was aired out for another 12 hours after the insulation was removed, but the odor won’t go away. This was a very clean, odor-free room before. Now I have no idea how to get rid of the odor or how dangerous it is to continue breathing the air in this room.

    [REDACTED].
