The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Made Jan 14, 2022, sent to the company Jan 20, 2022, published by CPSC Feb 3, 2022

The product, in the report: Threshold “Lit Tree Set, 2 Count.” https://www.target.com/p/led-2pk-christmas-tiered-bottle-brush-trees-threshold/-/A-82735856?preselect=82603114#lnk=sametab

Our client purchased a Threshold “Lit Tree Set, 2 Count” from a Target store. The product has the following identifying numbers found next to the bar code: UPC number 1 91908 67823 8, IDC-001459-01-097-0063, and DCPI 074 14 0771 R00. The following link is to the product: https://www.target.com/p/led-2pk-christmas-tiered-bottle-brush-trees-threshold/-/A-82735856?preselect=82603114#lnk=sametab.

The product has a button battery that is found within a yellow, cylinder-shaped compartment. The button battery came out of the compartment and was then swallowed by her 1 year, 11-month year old son and became lodged in his esophagus. The charge of the battery reacted with his saliva, which created a caustic fluid which cause esophageal burns.

It appears that there are similar Threshold products that contain this same button battery compartment.
