The product, in the report: 6 Foot Pre-lit Christmas Garland
I put the batteries in the 6” long pre-lit Christmas Garland and it didn’t turn on. I tried the on-off button a few times and when the lights still didn’t work, I thought to check to see if I had inserted the batteries properly. When I took the cover off, the two center batteries were very hot and in fact the bottom battery cover was melting off of the battery. I immediately took it outside, let it cool for five minutes and got the battery out.
