  1. Hurt, care not known

Made Dec 21, 2025, sent to the company Jan 8, 2026, published by CPSC Jan 23, 2026

The product, in the report: Report: Unsafe Indoor/Outdoor Holiday LED Lighting Product Name: Celebrations Blue-Micro LED Light String UPC: 039208942260 SKU: 8494000 Catalog #: 47982-71 Manufacturer: AHC Trading Co. Imported from: Cambodia Location Purchased: wisconsin Purchased: December 2025 Use Case: Indoor holiday lighting Incident Date: December 20 2025 Description of Hazard: This product emits an intensely saturated blue light that causes immediate physical symptoms, including severe eye strain, eyelid tightening, light-triggered nausea, dizziness, eye pain and and migraine. Within minutes of use in a low-light home setting, I experienced: Visual overstimulation across multiple rooms Prolonged photophobia after exposure ceased Pressure and pain behind the eyes Disruption of circadian regulation Nausea and fatigue from sensory overload The product uses parabolic convex LED nodes with concentrated blue micro-lens tips that do not diffuse light, but rather amplify it into narrow, high-lumen beams. This design is not safe for indoor ambient lighting, especially around children, people with photosensitivity, or those with neurological or autoimmune disorders. The box does not disclose brightness, lumen levels, or SMD configuration. These should not be sold for home use without severe warning labels or eye safety disclaimers. What should happen: This product should be recalled, redesigned, or restricted from indoor use. The public should be warned about high-lumen blue LEDs with amplified lenses. Better labeling and safety thresholds should be enforced on high-intensity micro-lens LED sets sold for household use. Im glad my grandchildren weren’t here because these lights made me and my husband sick instantly. They are definitely not indoor lights.
