The product, in the report: Tur Party Supplies Red Powder Cannon / Smoke Bomb. 12 inches. I purchased a single tube from my local party supply store, but the item is sold as a 2 pack on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Biodegradable-TUR-Party-Supplies-Celebrations/dp/B0CJCNBBKY/ref=asc_df_B0CJCNBBKY?mcid=975f1c0bee2c3a7b8719573d674450fd&hvocijid=14417152797502915736-B0CJCNBBKY-&hvexpln=73&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=721245378154&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14417152797502915736&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9004510&hvtargid=pla-2281435179538&th=1
On May 11, 2025 we were celebrating a birthday party at home. I purchased what i thought was a confetti cannon from a new store in Long Island NY called Party House. The cannon was 12 inches long and red. It turned out to be a red powder/smoke cannon which i discharged indoors creating a mess, smoke and forced everyone to evacuate my home. The item in question was a 12 inch party cannon manufactured by Tur Party Supplies. It was sold individually next to the actual confetti cannons leading to confusion. This item is improperly labeled 1) It does not state anywhere on the packaging it is a powder/smoke cannon. 2) There are no illustrations identifying that it is a powder/smoke cannon, 3) the labeling does not state for outdoor use only or list any information beyond an illustration on how to activate it. This same device is sold on Amazon as part of a two pack. While the Amazon description is accurate, when the powder cannon is sold as a single tube in a store there is no warning to the consumer. I contacted the manufacturer who assured me the powder was dyed cornstarch and not toxic. Either way, this item is dangerous for indoor use and should be labeled appropriately.
