The product, in the report: I bought 3 Dollar Tree “Selfie Ring Light” that say “rechargeable using micro usb” but also use 2 AAA batteries. When trying it out without the AAA batteries the light didn’t come on, so I plugged it into a USB power bank and got a faint red glow, but it didn’t seem to charge. After opening the product there is no internal rechargeable battery, and after installing non rechargeable batteries the light works, but when plugging it into the power bank the red charging light glows much brighter, meaning that it is trying to charge non rechargeable batteries. Also the back of the package is confusing because it says “EXternal 2pcs AA battery, but you can not charger with AA battery ; (b) can be use rechargeable batteries;” So they should say AAA not AA and that you need rechargeable batteries for it, normal batteries might leak or explode when charged. I didn’t let it charge them to see if they would leak or get hot but I imagine they will. At best it’s a confusing package that makes you think it’s rechargeable out of the box, not that you have to install rechargeable batteries for it.
