The product, in the report: Blue NEON disposable butane lighter

A NEON disposable lighter blew up The NEON disposable butane lighter had been stored in a drawer for some time. I began using it again a few weeks ago. today it was sitting untouched on a table on my covered and shaded back porch. the outdoor temperature was about 84F. it was not in direct sunlight. i heard a sudden loud crack and something flew across the porch. afterward I found the lighter on the floor with a large section of the plastic fuel reservoir broken away. There was no flame or other apparent heat source involved. There was no injury involved although I was sitting less than a foot away
