No one hurt Made May 19, 2026, sent to the company May 22, 2026, published by CPSC Jun 8, 2026
The product, in the report: Small yellow eagle torch lighter
On [5-19-2026], I used an Eagle Torch lighter to light a cigarette. After use, I placed the lighter down believing it was turned off. The lighter continued to emit a flame after being released without my knowledge.
The continued flame caused the lighter to burn and come into contact with my [REDACTED]. This resulted in fire/heat damage to the device.
Damage includes:
* Power button no longer functioning * One side of the keyboard damaged * Device partially inoperable
The laptop was in excellent working condition prior to the incident and is used for work and income purposes. The malfunction created a serious fire hazard and caused property damage. I am reporting this as a potential product safety issue involving a lighter that failed to properly extinguish or shut off after normal use.

First aid Made May 18, 2018, sent to the company May 30, 2018, published by CPSC Jun 20, 2018
The product, in the report: Blue colored torch lighter that has a nozzle bent at an angle. Approximately 3 inches in length.
One of the people residing in my house used a torch lighter to light a candle. The torch was placed down on a dresser. After several minutes, the torch lighter ignited and partially burned several items around it. I used a cloth to pat out the fire, but I was slightly burned by the melted plastic. My injury was minor and did not require anything more than home first-aid. After successfully extinguishing the fire, I was able to make out the label “Eagle Torch” on what was left of the lighter. I searched the Internet using the words “eagle angle single torch lighter” and it yielded images that match the product that I have.
